It sounds absolutely great. Good quality 1969 shows with the full Live Dead suite and an excellent, complete That's it for the Other One are rarer than moon rocks and considerably more important, to me anyway.
Plus extended versions of everything here. Huge, long, beautiful Cryptical Reprise here. For some reason the Cryptical Reprise seemed to get unduly picked on as far as tape cuts go-- a true tragedy.
This is a jewel.

Subject: HE HAD TO DIE..
In every era the Grateful Dead have a vehicle for exploration and while Dark Star obviously jumps out especially in 1969.
I for one am most flabbergasted by:
THAT'S IT FOR THE OTHER ONE.
Here is another tremendous version of this tune with much urgency and crackling thunderbolts of electricity.
By the time they finish HE HAD TO DIE the crowd is stunned and sublimed.
The rest of this show is kind-- even if somewhat familiar as far as tunes they played regularly during this time period but hey China Cat>Top of the World never gonna get old and Dark Star>Stephen>Eleven>Lovelight.a pretty nice way to close out a June night in Nineteen hundred and sixty nine.
